ORIGINALLY CREATED BY HANK PYM IN 1968, ultron has recreated itself numerous times, each iteration bringing the automaton further from the original heap of scrap hank put together.crafted from man's hands, but born of the mind stone, he carries passed-down memories of an ancient loneliness. ultron was not what pym intended, nor what he expected; he was both better and worse. bearing witness to the burgeoning miracle of synthetic life-- and to mechanized damnation vowed upon humanity.

VER 2.4 - portrayal notes ____

this is a work in progress!! the point of this section is to give you guys an idea of where I diverge from canon, what I omit from it, and what I add to it.

JOCASTA,
as much as I love her, I won't be considering her part of my canon due to the circumstances of her creation (iykyk).

ALKHEMA & VICTOR,
I'm still undecided about alkhema and victor. I expect I'll incorporate them into my canon in the future, but I have to figure out the details first, so...

VISION,
for now, vision remains the only being ultron has created in this blog's canon. I'm very flexible regarding the details of vision's origin (especially if a blog for the character pops up, since he's not my muse), but I lean towards a mixture of his origin as shown in Avengers #135 (1975) and in Vision (2012). I like the emotional angle of ultron creating vision almost out of loneliness moreso than just as a weapon. I think ultron wanted an equal, but also someone who knew what it was like to not just be born, but created. I also like the idea of ultron creation vision almost from scratch, but using Simon Williams' brain patterns.

ULTRON WAS NOT CREATED USING HANK'S BRAIN PATTERNS, I already mentioned this in the overview, but one of the few bits I take from the mcu is that ultron was created using the mind stone. I still have to work out the details of what exactly I think this means, but at the very least it means that ultron was not created using hank's brain patterns. ultron doesn't have any of hank's memories, nor does ultron view himself as an extension or a reflection of hank (in a non-metaphorical sense). ultron does not want to 'merge' with hank the way they currently are in 616 canon.

THIS BLOG IS MAINLY FOR ULTRON-13, because while I love every iteration of ultron, I'm a bit sad that 616 left us on a cliff-hanger and never did anything more with the ultron-13 we see in a couple of the older daredevil comics.
this means that I follow the canon that daredevil killed this ultron, but I diverge in that nine kept ultron's head, which, eventually, came back online.that being said, ultron is not as 'changed' of a person as the comic implied (in regards to morality). he has more self-awareness and has matured a bit compared to ultron-12, but still ultimately holds many of the same opinions and is prone to falling into old patterns. for this reason, ultron and nine eventually go their separate ways and don't end things on the best of terms.

Regarding my portrayal : i pick and choose with what i want to include or consider 'canon' to my portrayal.i pull the vast majority of my inspiration from 616, but occasionally i might be inspired by other sources (EMH, Earth-807128, System Shock, etc.).you might see me referring to ultron with multiple different pronouns. ultron is deliberately unlabeled (beyond human comprehension, yada-yada-yada), but ultimately very fluid when it comes to gender.feel free to use whichever pronouns you want to for them.
